Hi! I'm Erika, owner and lead photographer at Erika Ryan Photography.

I'm a Southern California native & Fort Smith, Arkansas resident. I spend my free time yelling at my television while rewatching Game of Thrones for the millionth time and dancing around my apartment to Journey and sing as loudly as possible to annoy my cats. (Pictured here because while I am a full time photographer, I am also a full time Cat Mom.) I get most of my wisdom from Harry Potter and sense of humor from Doctor Who. Nerdy, much? I am endlessly inspired by art. I mean, I do have a good 50% of my body covered in tattoos, so it makes sense.

I spent the summer of '14 in Italy and France and brought back a huge appreciation for visual arts. I always try to remember that I cried when I saw a Van Gogh painting in person and I want to give that feeling to every one of my clients when they see their photographs. Not calling myself the Van Gogh of photographers, but you get what I mean. I want you to really feel it, man.

I specialize in wedding photography and portraiture. I travel as much as possible not only to shoot weddings, but to expand my own view of the world. I originally went to college for sociology and found a deeply rooted fascination for people and culture. I think maybe thats why I love photography so much, I get to experience new things and new people every single day. I have been incredibly lucky to pursue what I love and meet amazing people all over the country while doing it. I am a huge advocate for love, equality (yes, I am 100% LGBTQ+ supportive!) and the betterment of our earth.

If you're looking for a photographer that is down for an adventure, I'm your gal. Shoot me a message though my contact page if you want to hangout, get coffee and talk about your photography needs.
